Statement on R U OK? and Enosh

19 September 2024

Recently, there has been inaccurate information published online about R U OK? ties with Israel.

No funding is given, or has ever been given, from R U OK? to Enosh or any other Israeli organisation.

Enosh, a mental health organisation in Israel, has used the R U OK? model in their region since 2021 to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention.

Whilst our work is delivered for those living in Australia, many organisations and individuals around the world choose to share the R U OK? message in their countries, regions and communities to varying degrees. We are also committed to increasing our offering of translated resources and community led initiatives for multicultural communities within Australia which can be found here.

The R U OK? message and resources aim to educate and empower everyone to support the people they care about - no matter where in the world they might be. We also know that suicide prevention is an enormously complex and sensitive challenge the world over. Suicide knows no boundaries. Our work focuses on a world where we are all connected and protected from suicide.
