R U OK?Day is our National Day of Action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, ‘are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation whenever they spot the signs that someone they care about might be struggling with life. R U OK?Day is marked on the second Thursday of September each year.
The
Guide to Supporting R U OK? contains links to R U OK?Day resources and will ensure you receive the latest updates straight to your inbox.
Hosting an event is a great way to bring people together and share the R U OK? message. We encourage you to organise a get together for your workplace, school, or community group.
Register your event so we can support your efforts with access to useful resources such as posters you can print and display, activity ideas and merchandise offers.
Is your gut instinct saying someone might not be doing so well? Perhaps they're just not themselves and you've noticed a change in what they're saying or doing?
You've got what it takes to ask, 'are you OK?' and make a difference.
Use our resources to champion the message in your workplace, school and community every day of the year to encourage everyone to ask, 'are you OK?' and lend support to someone in their world who might be struggling.
Fun runs and marathons, morning teas and movie nights, sausage sizzles and bake offs, treks and adventures in Australia and abroad – fundraising for R U OK? is a great way to make a difference and support our work helping friends, family, colleagues and neighbours feel more connected and protected from suicide.
With your support R U OK? can reach more Australians, inspire regular, meaningful conversations every day of the year, and ultimately change lives.
R U OK? has released resources to encourage more business leaders, owners and employees to build an R U OK? Culture in their workplace so that everyone feels safe, supported and encouraged.
The resources, including the R U OK? Workplace Champions Guide, promote peer-to-peer support and regular meaningful conversations amongst colleagues in the workplace.
Our Community Ambassadors are a network of volunteers, from across Australia, who have a lived experience of mental ill health or suicide. They are motivated to represent R U OK? and share their passion for starting regular, meaningful conversations to create a world where we are all connected and are protected from suicide.
Community Ambassadors represent R U OK? in their local area. They inspire people to ask the question and support anyone who may be struggling with life.
