WHY HOST AN EVENT?
Hosting an event is a great way to bring people together and share the R U OK? message. We encourage you to organise a get together for your workplace, school, or community group.
Register your event via the form below so we can support your efforts with access to useful resources such as posters you can print and display, activity ideas and merchandise offers.
This is also the form to complete if you want to request a presentation by a volunteer R U OK? Community Ambassador but please understand we cannot guarantee ambassador availability for every event or location.
We encourage you to register to utilise our free R U OK? resources. These include:
WHAT WORKS FOR YOU?
You might organise a catch up over breakfast, a morning/afternoon tea, or a BBQ lunch. It might be a toolbox talk, a team meeting, wear yellow day, a school assembly, or a conversation panel – whatever you choose to do it’s important to make it meaningful. Think about what you can do and how you can encourage everyone to ask, ‘are you OK?’ whenever they spot the signs that someone they care about might be struggling with life. Need ideas now? Guide to Supporting R U OK? or visit the Every Day Resources

We’ll be in touch within 48 hours to say hello, and share more tips and resources.

When planning a mental health or suicide prevention event, it’s important to ensure the wellbeing and safety of those attending and/or speaking.
Our Duty of Care page is a useful tool to carefully consider the physical and social environment to help participants feel safe and supported at an event.
R U OK? has a wide range of conversation starters to add a splash of yellow in your school, workplace or community.
Proceeds from sales support our work to start more life-changing conversations.
Sign up to our newsletter for conversations tips, news and insights from our staff, experts and supporters.
